Day of Training for Leaders of Youth Ministries

September 11, 2010 at the Urban Hope Training Center, Philadelphia, Pa.

Youth workers representing the Grace Brethren Church in Ephrata, Pa., New Beginnings Grace Brethren Church in Myerstown, Pa., Echo Valley Grace Brethren Church in Tremont, Pa., the Grace Brethren Church in York, Pa., Penn Valley Grace Brethren Church in Telford, Pa., Gateway Grace Community Church in Parksburg, Pa., and Urban Hope Church, Philadelphia, Pa. attended.

The group talked about the purpose of youth ministry and practical ways the youth group can reach out to community youth. Andy Saunders, Associate Pastor of Families at the Grace Brethren Church in Telford, Pa., said, "The time was valuable for our own youth staff to receive challenge and encouragement from Ed Lewis regarding the necessity of youth ministry in the local church."

Day of Training for Leaders of Mid-sized Groups

October 23 at the Grace Brethren Church in Ashland, Ohio

All leaders of mid-sized groups are invited to the Grace Brethren Church in Ashland, Ohio, on Oct. 23, 2010 from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.

This informal gathering will focus on the importance of mid-sized groups and their leaders, small group discussion, ideas and enhancements, and a question and answer time for those interested.

The keynote speaker is Steve Lizzio, conference speaker, author, and pastor. Steve currently serves at Hope Church in Mason, Ohio. Cost is $10 per person. Please contact Lois at cenational@cenational.org or call 574.267.6622 to register.
