What is The National Institute?TNI

The National institute is a hands-on training program for those who desire to impact students. Offered jointly by CE National and Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana, the National Institute prepares students to minister to youth in a local church, para-church, or camp setting.

The National Institute impacts the Church by equipping students to influence positively the lives of the next generation of leaders by training students:

  • to impact local churches in Great Commission youth ministries
  • to be catalysts to the youth of the world
  • to start and to develop churches and para-churches that focus on the young
  • to work in a secular society to reach and disciple the young

The National Institute Major

The goal of The National Institute Major is to equip each student spiritually and academically in the area of Youth Ministry. Practical training by leading individuals in the field of youth ministry will enhance the students’ awareness of the changes and growing needs of today’s youth.

Courses of study for a youth ministry major include:

  • Evangelism and Discipleship
  • Foundations and Philosophy of Youth Ministries
  • Strategizing for Church and Campus Youth Ministries
  • Contemporary Issues
  • Cross-Cultural Youth Ministries
  • Counseling and Communicating with Contemporary Youth
  • Youth Ministry Internship
  • Personal and Professional Orientation to Youth Ministry
  • Six additional Bible classes

The National Institute Minor

We believe in expecting the most from our minors in Youth Ministries. Therefore, we are committed to offering to those that minor the same training, experience, and guidance that is offered to those that major.

Students who choose The National Institute program as a minor will complete the following courses of study:

  • Evangelism and Discipleship
  • Foundations and Philosophy of Youth Ministries
  • Strategizing for Church and Campus Youth Ministries
  • Defining Doctrines of the Christian Faith
  • Cross-Cultural Youth Ministries
  • Counseling and Communicating with Contemporary Youth.
